Kate De Brunner
Therapist
As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, my approach is offering a safe, compassionate, and containing space so we can understand and discover together the causes and roots of your distress, make sense of your current difficulties, and explore what might be keeping them going - and importantly why, and how we can break these cycles together.
I have ten years’ experience as a therapist working within NHS adult mental health services, delivering evidence-based therapies for anxiety, depressive disorders, and related conditions. I currently work as a supervisor and lead a team of CBT therapists within Hammersmith & Fulham NHS Talking Therapies. Over time, I have gained a wealth of experience working with childhood trauma, chronic depression, relational issues, and anxiety disorders including PTSD, OCD, and generalised anxiety, alongside low self-esteem.
I am passionate about delivering evidence-based, NICE-informed therapy with flexibility and a person-centred approach. My experience includes using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, couples therapy - working with relationship and relational issues - and schema-informed approaches. Though I’m based in Crawley, I offer online support to clients in London and surrounding areas and the rest of the UK.
